Root for 2.3.6
HUAWEI ASCEND M865 2.3.6
FIRST THING YOU NEED TO DO IS DOWN LOAD SUPER ROOT

AND PLACE THIS ON YOUR SD CARD
SECOND THING YOU NEED TO DO IS DOWNLOAD MY BASED CWM RECOVERY 5.0.2.7

UNZIP ALL FILES INTO SAME FOLDER
THIRD TURN OFF PHONE AND THEN HOLD DOWN VOL- AND POWER AT THE SAME TIME FOR 5 SEC TO INTO FASBOOT
THEN PLUG YOUR PHONE IN TO COMPUTER GO TO THE RECOVERY FOLDER AND SELECT THE FILES IN THIS ORDER
- ADB
- FASTBOOT
INSTALL-RECOVERY-WINDOWS
NOW UNPLUG YOUR PHONE AND PULL OUT YOUR BATTERY PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN NOW HOLD VOL+ AND POWER AT THE SAME TIME INTELL A SCREEN POPS UP YOU NOW HAVE 5.2.0.7 RECOVERY NOW CHOOSE INSTALL ZIP FROM SDCARD THEN CHOOSE ZIP FROM SDCARD AND SELECT THE ROOT-SUPERUSER-UNIVERSAL.ZIP
RESTART YOUR PHONE YOU NOW HACE ROOT

hey bro download the root file and add it with yours i found the root from some guy in spain they dont have 2.3.6 but thay have 2.3.7 and this app was had they rooted it what rom for wich phone

I cannot get my ascend 2 to boot into fastboot. I've held Vol -and Power and 6-10 seconds, and after about 15 more seconds, the phone loads up normally. I don't know what to do

Titan know anyone that has files for Sanyo zip,mine stuck in fast boot, does not go anywhere from there but I can put in download mode but can't find any info on web, I've searched and all nonsense

I'm guessing that's a cricket zio - there's a whole section for it on xda. Nothing's been updated for a while though.

I'm in the same boat. Even using adb to get into fastboot wont work, just loads up again after about 20 seconds. I've rooted many phones and this one is being difficult...I can't seem to figure this out on my own. Anyone have some advice as to why the device won't stay in fastboot? stuck on same thing too, when try to boot using fastboot nothing happens and when trying to use fastboot in cmd line it says waiting for device...adb works fine

okay this may work or may not work but i found an easier way that works for huawei ascend m865 CRICKET!!!!

Help
I have a Huawie Ascend M865. I tried the procedure in initial post and when I choose the "ROOT-SUPERUSER-UNIVERSAL.ZIP" I get an error message: E: signature verification failed... Installation aborted. Plz help! I currently run android version 2.3.6; fresh install. I know I followed the instructions perfectly. I also tried to root my phone with z4root, but 10 seconds after I click on Permanent root the screen disappears and nothing happens.
