PLEASE HELP! Root Huawei Ascend 2 M865 2.3.6

i bought this phone yesterday (Huawei Ascend 2 M865 with android 2.3.6) it was a deal it was $29.99 with the first month all together it came to $95 so it was a steal i use to have the ZTE Score so it was a big upgrade LOL i have rooted 3 phones in my day so i dont know much about it i just follow the instructions on the web but i have looked all over the internet for a way to root this phone i downloaded the "update" file that is a zip file (i think thats what its called LOL) i put it on my phone and turned it off then pressed the volume up and the power then update from SD and picked the update file but it dont work....... because i have 2.3.6 i tried z4root and gingerbreak nothing will work i saw some post about having to downgrade the phone to 2.3.5 but i dont know how to do that and i dont know if i even have to do that if i dont have to i dont wanna but if it is a must to root it i will i just think 2.3.6 sounds better then 2.3.5 but i dont know that much about this type of thing SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! THANKS SOOOOO MUCH

I'll send you link but all you will have to do is have the is download the app extract the files into a folder.and run the program . But I hold a sec get it for you

Can anybody help me with rooting my huawei ascend 2 with 2.3.5 on it. I've tried z4root and gingerbreak nothing will work. I've even tried the superoneclick. It said that it has installed but it didn't restart. I even tried it again and restarted it manually with no results. If anyone could help me i would certainly appreciate you kindness

their is 3 different guides on how to root the phone lol check under Ascend 2 threads :P

i downloaded the superoneclick file from pc to root of sd extracted it and nothing it just shows the files in it there is no option to root

I need help!
I been trying to root my phone all day.I have a Huawei Ascend 2 with Android version 2.3.6.
I have tried Gingerbreak,Z4root,and Superoneclick and none of them work,each has their own problem (shown below)
Z4root-Says it's running the exploit then just goes to my app drawer.no restart or anything
Gingerbreak-Says its rooting and doesn't do anything (i have left it there for about 30 minutes and nothing)
Superoneclick-It gets stuck on Step #7.It says "Waiting for device"

Please help! i don't know what to try anymore! all the forums i been to have not covered the issue of rooting 2.3.6!

Keep trying superoneclick because I know for a fact it works I've done and have had over 459 people that it works there is something your doing wrong

I just rooted my huawei ascend 2 with 2.3.6 2 days ago with gingerbread. what you do is download the gingerbread using your computer and follow the instructions. But you have to put it on a sd card that doesn't have anything on it. Make sure that you take the on that came with your phone out. And use the one with the gingerbread app on it.

CWM_5.0.2.7-M865.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

extact it to desktop in a folder named cwm now turn the phone off and then hold
vol down and power at the same time for atleast 6 sec then conect phone via usb
open cwm folder and select ADB-widows then select FASTBOOT-windows and last select INSTALL-RECOVERY-WINDOWS
after its done pull the battery out put it back in then hold vol up and power intell recovery pops up
after you do this follow the steps below<<<<

dl the zip thats posted in the roms and mods section.

connect your phone via usb (or use an sd card adapter). In your pull down menu, hit mount (or connect) to usb
choose the correct drive that your phone is connected to (make sure that you can see your camera folder etc.)
don't open the zip that you have just downloaded, place the entire zip on the main "menu" (root) of your sd card.
disconnect your usb cable and wait for your phone to finish preparing sd card. (you'll see that in your notification bar)
power your phone off.
hold volume up and push and hold power until your phone boots into recovery. (about 5-10 seconds)
using your volume buttons, scroll to update from sd card and press power to select.
scroll to the "update zip" that you placed in your sd card and select.
reboot and tadaa! Your rooted enjoy!
download rom manager and run fix permissions. I was getting force closes and this took care if it.

i just tried this was for the 2.3.3 and 2.3.5 but also works 2.3.6
